On October 12, Ms. Jessica Wang, General Manager of EBILTECH, had the honor to meet with Dame Jenny Shipley, New Zealand¡¯s first female Prime Minister. The two sides held in-depth, high-quality industrial exchanges centering on four major themes: China-New Zealand economic and trade cooperation, intelligent warehousing implementation, cold chain technology application, and women¡¯s leadership.

During the meeting, drawing on EBILTECH¡¯s existing warehousing projects delivered in New Zealand, General Manager Wang Xuan introduced the company¡¯s core strengths, including automated high-bay warehouses, high-density intelligent warehousing systems, and -25¡ãC low-temperature cold chain shuttle technology. She consulted Dame Jenny Shipley on how China¡¯s intelligent cold chain equipment can achieve deeper, more sustainable local adoption and long-term cooperation models within the New Zealand market.

Dame Jenny Shipley shared her insights on China-New Zealand trade relations. New Zealand was the first developed country to sign a free trade agreement with China, and it consistently upholds the trade principles of openness, mutual trust and win-win outcomes. Boasting well-developed agriculture, animal husbandry, dairy, meat and fresh produce sectors, New Zealand has strong demand for mature, reliable and energy-efficient low-temperature warehousing technologies. Advanced intelligent cold chain warehousing solutions from China would align closely with local market demands if they can effectively cut wastage in New Zealand¡¯s fresh produce exports, boost warehousing efficiency and reduce energy consumption.

She noted that the New Zealand market has substantial demand for intelligent warehousing solutions specialized in low-temperature cold chain with proven project delivery track records, and she is optimistic about the growth potential of Chinese smart manufacturing in Oceania.

China¡¯s intelligent warehousing equipment technology has now reached internationally advanced standards, capable of competing head-to-head with top-tier technologies from Europe and America. It also delivers combined advantages of strong adaptability, cost-effectiveness and reliable on-site implementation capacity, offering robust technical support for the upgrading of overseas cold chain industries.

Women¡¯s leadership was another key topic of their in-depth discussion. Ms. Wang Xuan sought advice on management wisdom and the core of growth from this distinguished female business leader. Dame Jenny Shipley shared five valuable pieces of advice for business operation and life. Two of them resonated deeply with Ms. Wang and won her full recognition:

  1. There is no need to become ¡°a man in a skirt¡±. Women¡¯s leadership carries its own gentle yet unwavering strength.

  2. Sustain resilience. Long-termism and inner stability constitute the core competitiveness of entrepreneurs.

Towards the end of the discussion, Ms. Wang Xuan presented Dame Jenny Shipley with EBILTECH¡¯s original IP mascot, the Arctic Ice Bear. The Arctic Ice Bear symbolizes fearlessness of extreme cold, perseverance through breakthroughs, courage in the face of challenges and steady commitment. It perfectly embodies EBILTECH¡¯s corporate spirit: dedicated to low-temperature cold chain business, expanding into overseas markets, embracing challenges and pursuing continuous innovation.

This high-level industrial dialogue lays a solid foundation for EBILTECH to further expand its footprint in New Zealand and deepen its presence in the Oceania cold chain market. Moving forward, EBILTECH will continue to focus on high-density intelligent warehousing, low-temperature automated high-bay warehouses and energy-saving technologies for cold chain operations. The company will keep helping global food, fresh produce, agriculture and animal husbandry industries cut warehousing costs and raise efficiency, empowering the upgrading of the global cold chain industry with Chinese smart manufacturing.
